 A colored pencil drawing of the magnificent Luna Moth (Actias luna) is featured in this piece along with nature prints of ferns. Inhabiting deciduous hardwood forests, this moth has a 7-day life span at the most. With beautiful wings as wide as 4.5”, it is one of the largest moths in North America. Seen floating among ferns in the forest, it is a rare and magical sight. If one is lucky you may also see a red-spotted newt in the damp earth or near a few uncurling fiddleheads.
