Parrot and Washingtonian Palm

In my most challenging drawing study, multiple illustrations portray the flowering and seed stages in the lofty canopy of the tall Washingtonian palms, which a flock of green parrots inhabited near my home. The leaf stems of this tree that tower above are each at least 6-8' long! Therefore, I captured only a portion of the leaf as a nature print, nicely framing my extensive illustrations in colored pencils. A story goes with this art, which you can read on my website blog.
